Located in Abita Springs, the Abita Creek Flatwoods Preserve is a longleaf pine savanna, which are among the most diverse and most threatened habitats in North America. This particular preserve was a burn study until October 2017. Because of this burn study, the landscape of flora and fauna are in flux. This will be shown in Prospect 4 and PhotoNOLA in December 2017.
