Before your Shoot

When you book

Before your session we will have our Skype/FaceTime or In-person consultation to go over any questions you may have and so that we can make sure to have everything ready for you!

Along with your welcome guide you'll get our questionnaire, this will help us tailor your session to you! You'll want to complete the client information form pre-session because it helps us get to know a lot more about you. We want to know your session vision, your favorite locations, and your style.

Dress & Wardrobe

In our session guide, we will give you some ideas on what to wear according to your particular style. We always say to coordinate and not match. This gives your portraits diversity and doesn't scream 1990s Kardashians in blue jeans.

During your Shoot

Most clients are nervous when they arrive! This is something, fun, exciting and should be enjoyable! Clients tell us all the time that they DON’T KNOW HOW TO POSE! (That’s by far the most common thing we hear!) But don’t worry – we will guide you through poses and we are here to make you comfortable! Even if that means going candid!

We will have certain poses in mind for your wardrobe and body type and we like to try new poses with each client. We're here to help you pose and can even go candid if that's more comfortable for you. We’ll also refer to your inspiration photos if you bring them or to Pinterest. Don’t worry about posing or feeling “funny” – it becomes comfortable for most of our clients within five minutes of getting started!

After your Shoot

One to two weeks after your session, we will arrange for your viewing and ordering appointment. At that time, you will work together with us to make your selections, and, if desired, design an arrangement for your wall space that complements your home and lifestyle. We encourage everyone to get printed materials rather than digital images because that's where most everyone's images live now: on a usb or a disc in a drawer for no one to see. We do, however, include all images selected for printed materials for digital download via Google Drive in your private access folder we create for you.

We have designed our pricing menu that is located in our session guide to reflect our love and vision for creating stunning images that will last for a lifetime* and beyond. We only offer the highest quality of artwork that meets museum standards. Erin has researched along with going through extensive training to find materials that will last.**

The retouching style of Duke & Gunder Studios LLC is natural, subtle, and minimal. Our goal is to achieve a great image in camera with the use of lighting and posing. If it's something that is temporary, like a blemish or bruise, we can remove it.*** If it something that is a part of you, we do not want to alter you. We want you to look like the best version of yourself, but not someone else. We also do not offer adding in things at this time.  After your session, we'll meet up to review your images and select your products accordingly.

Due to the intimate nature of our service, cancellations and rescheduling impact us significantly. The full session fee plus tax is due to reserve your photo shoot time and is non refundable. Please be mindful that the photographer reserves your shoot date and time just for you and turns away all other income and business for that booked time frame. If the session date needs to be changed by the client after the contract has been signed and the payment has been received then the photographer will allow rescheduling one time and the fee for professional hair and makeup will need to be paid for again. Due to the highly customized nature of these products, payment for product is due upon ordering and orders are not processed until the full payment is received.   All sales are final.

***Retouches are all susceptible to additional fees.
